Monday, March 3 – Kickoff Event (ACM-W Meeting, 6-7 PM, Start at 7 PM)
  • Welcome attendees & introduction
  • Explanation of what a hackathon is, rules, categories, and prizes
  • Crash course on Figma (conducted by UXD mentors)
    • Example and breakdown
    • YouTube crash course
  • Team formation (duos or individuals, theme selection)
  • Officially start hackathon after the meeting
  • Submission platforms: Devpost

Tuesday, March 4 – Asynchronous Help
  • Provide async support via Discord
Wednesday, March 5 – Hackathon Ends (5 PM, UXD Meeting, Submission Deadline at 11:59 PM)
  • UXD Host’s in person “workshop” for help
  • Location: Johnson 221
  • Final submissions due by 11:59 PM
  • Brief wrap-up and thank-you message to participants
Monday, March 10 – Winner Announcement
  • Winners announced via social media and email

 

Requirements

What to Build

Create a Figma for a mobile application, with prototyping included. The number of screens depend on the team size:

  • 3 screens for teams of 1
  • 5 screens for teams of 2

What to Submit

  • Screenshots of completed screens
  • Description of the original tech product and how your design is an improvement on it. Outline features changed or implemented.
  • Link to the Figma design file and prototype
